My puppy who is about 3 months old. he bites and scratches a lot and he keep bopping him on the nose.?

well, we don't want him 2 be mean, but some people say that a semi - shock collar would be the best. im not sure, but he is a boxer and brittany spaniel mix. he is the cutest and most of the time, good natured. but he plays really rough and when he gets big and thinks biting and scratching is play, he could hurt some one!!!
