Isnt it true that the ten commandments protected the rich?

Well... you SHOULDN'T covet your neighbors goods, that's common sense, I don't need the bible to tell me that and I'm not even religious, but there are other things in the bible that tell a different story, for example, the ONLY time Jesus ever became violent, was to get the money changers out of the temple, he had utter contempt for people who made money simply from having it.
