Will I waste my time by doing this??? PLEASE HELP!!! (med school - psychology?)?

I want to become a psyciatrist. Im pretty sure you have to get your masters in psychology, then go to medical school. However, if I change my mind and cannot afford med school (getting pregnant, debt) or are unable to handle the work load and flunk out, will this be a waste of my degree in psychology? What kind of jobs can you get with a masters in psychology? I struggle with science cles, but am superior in psychology cles. Will this matter? I get A's and B's regardless if that makes a difference.
