What is it like to be married?

I am a 25 year old single bachelor and I would like to ask all of the married out there, why did you get married and is it better being married or being single. I ask because I do not nor have I ever had a girlfriend. I enjoy the solitary life for the most part but sometimes have that want for companionship.
