Can I Wash My Horse in This Weather?

I need to wash my horse before winter hits, and I think this week may be the last hurrah of summer/fall. It is going to be 56 degrees out tomorrow, but there is a chance of rain. My horse is a thin-skinned thoroughbred, and the wash stall is outside. Is that too cold of weather to wash my horse in?
